Oral History Collection
The Oral History Collection consists of recordings and transcripts of interviews, discussions, and events relating to the history of WHOI, MBL, the USGS and oceanography generally.
WHOI Institutional Organization Charts, 1980-2021
The series includes notes, speeches, brief histories and chronologies of events in the history of WHOI, photographs of Guy Nichols, memorial speeches for Stanley Watson and the Starbuck essays of Henry Stommel. Subjects include women at sea, computers, the history of the URI Graduate School of Oceanography and the oral history series, "Oceanography: the making of a science." Several websites for various WHOI committees are also contained in the series.
