This series consists of recordings made during Atlantis cruise 154 in February - April 1949, which was concurrent with Caryn cruise 5. John Brackett Hersey chief scientist. The Fleet Listening disc with no disc number has nearly the same time frame listed on its sleeve as "Fleet Listening, Disc 2".
