Arrangement
This series is divided into three sections, reflecting the progression of Redfield's studies: Natural waters, oceans, and the Grand Coulee Lakes. Within each section, draft papers, articles, and manuscripts are followed by their own distinct correspondence, figures, and data, in roughly chronological order. Data that cannot be attributed to a specific project falls at the end of the series.
Separated Material
Much of the data collected for the study of deuterium in the oceans was obtained from WHOI ships, or ships with which WHOI has been affiliated. In an attempt to collect ship and cruise data in one location, much of this material has been segregated out and is stored by ship and cruise (or project) as follows:
- R/VAtlantis 151, 180, 181, 212, 213, 215, 227, 242, 247
- R/VAtlantis II 9
- R/VAlbatross III A-42
- R/VBear 139
