Scope and Content Note
The series consists of drafts, correspondence, data, maps, charts, calculations leading to several papers including "On the limits of resonance in tidal embayments", "Report on a survey of hydrography of Great South Bay", "Water levels accompanying Atlantic coast hurricanes", and "Tides of the waters of New England and New York." Includes an account of Redfield's great-grandfather's observations from 1821.
