Scope and Content Note
This series contains information about the review committee, including minutes of its meetings and proposals discussed at each meeting, from 1975-1997. The UNOLS Review Committee, which at one time was called the Alvin Review Committee is now called the Deep Submergence Science Study Committee. The first meeting of the UNOLS Review Committee for DSRV Alvin was February 19, 1975.

Arranged in two groups, 1996-1997 and 1975-1995. Folders are arranged chronologically within each group.
Acquistion Information
This series includes material that was sent to the archives at different times. Files from the years 1975-1978 came from Robertson P. Dinsmore, and had previously been kept together in a box in the archives vault. Carole Merson, who worked with Associate Director for Scientific Operations George Grice, sent folders for the years 1979-1983 to the archives on December 30, 1985.
Processing Information
Materials were placed in acid-free folders and arranged according to year.
