Scope and Content Note

Dr. Redfield served as President of the Bermuda Biological Station for Research from 1962-1965. This series contains correspondence and newspaper clippings from a particularly turbulent time when the Station's director and WHOI scientist, William Sutcliffe, was accused (and later acquitted) of murdering his wife in Falmouth. The series also contains general report of the Station.
