Scope and Content Note
This series contains correspondence, announcements, and memoranda between the director and the private, scientific, and government organizations he most frequently dealt with in establishing and gaining support for the Institution. Note that a file in the Administrative series entitled “Cooperation with the Bureau Hydrographique International, seal experiments, 1931-1935”, might fit equally well in this series (box 1, f.2).
