Bear, 1951-1962

 Series

Scope and Content Note

The Bear series contains logbooks, graphs, plots, notes, data, journals and photographs relating to various scientific activities aboard the Bear. Logbooks sometimes contain notes, photographs or other materials inserted, taped, glued, or stapled into the logs. Materials were kept in place in the logs; photographs not in logbooks were removed to the WHOI Image collection. Cruise numbers of the Bear were reassigned at some point; the finding aid reflects the updated cruise numbers.
