Overview
The Robert S. Detrick papers consist mainly of materials relating to several scientific projects, as well as several folders of computer programs used for analysis of data.
Arrangement
The papers are arranged in four series:
List of Series:
Custodial History
The papers had been stored in Robert Detrick's office in Marine Operations prior to their transfer to the Archives.
Acquisitions Information
The material was received in the Data Library and Archives in two accessions, first on December 16, 2011 as acc2011-30 and second on August 21, 2013 as acc2013-10.
Separated Material
The Photographs series is stored in the Archives vault with the WHOI Image Collection.
Processing Information
Processed in December 2011 by David Sherman. Transparencies were removed from non-archival sleeves and binders and refoldered. The remaining material was rehoused in acid-free folders.
Material was not arranged in any discernible order when it was received in the Archives. Folders were arranged by project, and original folder titles were maintained.
Photographs were separated from the remaining material, and are stored with the WHOI Image collection. A number of videotapes from the Marine Operations department were received with the material, but were removed from the papers for separate processing. Several data tapes relating to the projects in the papers were removed and added to the data collection.
