Scope and Content Note

The series consists of Thomas Kelley's logs, notebooks, and miscellaneous materials kept in his role as first mate of the Atlantis from 1933-1942. Materials include sea log sheets describing weather and science work, correspondence, star fix position notebooks, Kelley's personal logs, navigation notebooks, a port log, maintenance and equipment log, and a scrapbook with clippings of articles on the early cruises of the Atlantis.
