Overview
The collection consists of records of the WHOI Digital Data Library, and contain correspondence and memoranda, data from ships’ cruises, proposals, operating manuals, and other information concerning use of databases aboard the ships.
Custodial History
The custodial history of the records is undocumented.
Acquisitions Information
Several boxes of materials pertaining to the Digital Data Library (DDL) were given to the WHOI Archives in the 1980s and again in 1999.
Processing Information
Bob Groman came to the Archives in 1999 to help identify materials for retention. Materials were then re-foldered and labeled, and placed in 2 manuscript boxes. Materials were put into chronological order.
Marisa Hudspeth completed first-level processing of the records in October 2003.
