Oceanus magazine: history, 1973-1993, scattered

 Item — Box: 6, Folder: 1

Scope and Content Note

From the Series:

Oceanus began in 1952 under the editorship of Jan Hahn. It was distributed quarterly to Associates, dues-paying supporters of WHOI, and others to report on research in progress. After Hahn's death in 1972, William MacLeish took over the editorship and recommended a shift from an Institution-only publication to a subscription magazine on marine science for general readership, which occurred in 1974. Unless otherwise noted, two copies of each issue are kept in the collection.
