Biographical Information
Stanley R. Hart is an isotope geochemist and Scientist Emeritus in the Department of Geology and Geophysics at WHOI. He received his B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1956, an M.S. from the California Institute of Technology in 1957, and his Ph.D. from MIT in 1960. Prior to his time at WHOI, Hart had been a Fellow and staff member at the Carnegie Institution of Washington from 1960-1975, a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of California, San Diego from 1966-1967, and Professor in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1975-1989. Hart has written numerous publications, served as associate or advisory editor on several journals, and has been active in many professional organizations.

The papers were received from Stan Hart on August 10, 2010 as acc.2010-19. Material in box 8 was received from Stan Hart's office on March 11, 2011 as acc.2011-06.
