Scope and Content Note
The Photographs and Film Reels series consists of negatives, slides, prints, lantern slides, 16mm and 8mm film reels. Subjects covered in the materials span the range of Emery's work, and include charts, graphs, maps, illustrations for publications, photographs of people, instruments, coins, shipboard activity, instruments, places Emery visited and many other subjects.

Arrangement
Materials were arranged in no particular order when they were received. Materials stored together in folders or other containers were kept in their original order, and were named according to the notes on the boxes when possible. Photographs are arranged in several subseries by material type: Lantern Slides, Prints, Negatives, Slides and Film Reels.
