Scope and Content Note
The Audiocassettes series consists of twenty-three audiocassettes with recordings of the proceedings of both the Third International Congress on the History of Oceanography, and the sessions the following week, titled "Will we use the oceans wisely - the next 50 years in oceanography?" The sound on the audiocassettes is degraded, and the material was converted to digital format in November 2012 (see following series for more information on the digital files).
