The Memorabillia collection consists of a multitude of different ephemera and other nostalgic items from WHOI history. The collection currently spans 1930 to 2011, and is constantly growing. Of particular note in the collection are a large number of foreign courtesy flags, the medicine chest from the original Atlantis , Furoshiki or Japanese wrapping cloth given to WHOI by Dr. Koichi Nakamura of the Geological Survey of Japan, pieces of the Swordfish that attacked ALVIN , the bull horn from the Chain and various badges, stickers, t-shirts, plaques, and other realia.
